Support & Share Night Program

Join us an evening of grief education and bereavement support at our upcoming Support and Share Night on Tues, Dec 4, 2018.

Our Dec 4th, 2018 speaker is Ian Henderson who is educating us on Surviving the Holidays, Part 2 of 2.

The holidays can be anything but Merry for those who are grieving the death of a loved one. There are constant reminders of celebrations, traditions, and knowing that spending time with family and friends will no longer be the same.

Surviving the Holidays helps navigate us through the holiday emotions, surviving celebrations and how to handle traditions, by offering coping tips and techniques to make this difficult season a little easier.

Ian is a bereavement educator and coach who has helped 100’s through their grieving process.

For 40 years, this monthly program has been supporting individuals and families on their journey of grief.  The night begins with an educational talk, followed by an opportunity to connect with others who are grieving a similar loss to yours in one of our 7 support groups.  Groups are led by trained facilitators who have grieved and experienced a loss similar to yours.  You are not alone.  You can see our past speakers and their topics here.

The 7 bereavement groups are:
Loss of Spouse
Loss of Child
Loss of Perinatal (miscarriage, still birth, infant under 1 year)

Loss of Parent
Loss of Sibling/Friend
Loss by Suicide
Loss by MAID
 (Medical Assistance in Dying)
