Support & Share Night Program

Join us for an evening of grief education and bereavement support at our upcoming Support and Share Night on Tuesday, May 7, 2019.

Our May 7, 2019 speaker is Doug Cargo. His talk is titled From Heartache to Happiness.

“I was overwhelmed with the sadness, pain, fear, and loneliness associated with the grief I was suffering.” Those are the feelings Doug uses to describe his grief after his wife died 15 years ago.

He shares his personal story of grief and his progression from heartache to happiness. Everyone, regardless of their loss, will see a bit of themselves in Doug’s story.

Doug gives back to his grieving community by sharing his knowledge and insight to help the newly bereaved. He is a Bereaved Families-Ottawa volunteer Board of Director and group facilitator. He is a retired engineer from the Canadian Armed Forces.
